As we enter the tail end of summer, many fans have already seen some of their favorite artists perform live in concert. But just as it began to feel like live events were getting back to normal, COVID-19 cases have once again spiked — and that means more rules and regulations to gain entry to shows. Here’s a few events we have on our radar and what to expect as a ticket holder.

New England jam band fans have the chance to catch super group Dead & Company on a two night run September 2–3 at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The Event Organizer is requiring fans to provide proof of either COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result completed within 48-hours of the event. With this in mind, fans will need to arrive early with a fully charged smartphone in order to complete all steps required for entry before the band plays.

Iconic rock band The Eagles are performing September 16th and 18th at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. These shows on the Hotel California Tour were rescheduled after Denver closed its large venues in 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. It appears that most tickets available on the Ticketmaster website are “Verified Resale.” This means Eagles fans still looking for a ticket can expect to pay above face value because ticket master tacks on resale fees at the expense of both the ticket buyer and original owner.

Country music fans in California can see Lady A September 17th at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine and September 18th at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. Attendees can expect to receive a mobile ticket to this event and must follow Live Nation’s mobile policies — including downloading the app and dealing with any technological glitches — in order to gain entry. More effort being made by Live Nation to force fans into their never ending loop of fees with little-to-no control over what you can do with YOUR ticket.

Former One Direction band member Harry Styles rescheduled two tour dates for September 24-25 at Chicago’s United Event. This concert has already sold out, but fortunately for fans, tickets are still available on the secondary marketplace.

Billie Eilish, A$AP Rocky and Post Malone are all scheduled to headline this year’s Governor’s Ball Music Festival, which will be held September 24-26 at New York City’s Citi Field. Fans can expect similar COVID-19 protocols to Dead & Company concerts, so it’s necessary to once again arrive early with a fully charged smartphone in order to complete all steps required for entry before the music starts.
